Yay for being 20!

For my birthday, me and the girls went to Azteca. I decided to order something different (to expand my horizons...Zach) so I got a Chimechanga (because it's such a cool word) and a Chalupa (because i wanted to see what a real one was like, instead of the Taco Bell version). The Chalupa turned out to be a BEAST and ended up falling apart. =( but good times, because you can't help but laugh at my face... i'm glad that i can provide some entertainment.

My best friend is a nun

My best friend Meghan, (yes, we have the same name) decided that she recently wanted to become a Carmelite nun. Here is the email she sent me the other day:

Well, I am sorry to say, but I do not think that I will be coming home or going to Seattle this summer. I have found my calling and I have already taken my vows as a Carmelite nun. I know that this is a shock to you all, but I am sure that you will understand in time. Know that I love you all very much. After 3 months of spiritual training I will be allowed to see family. I will keep you all posted on when that will be. Until then, after this semester I will not be returning to Whitworth. But the Carmelite sisters are only about a 1/2 hour away from campus. Well, i love you all and just had to tell you the good news! You all can look at the attached picture. We get to wear traditional habits. I am pretty excited about that.

Peace to you all!

Love, Sister Meghan

Well, let me just say that i was shocked, but interested at the same time. I was so shocked i had to call her twin sister, Mykell (also my best friend) and ask if it was real. Thank goodness it was a joke... haha... (i would have supported you either way mo!) but i don't know, this outfit is pretty convincing... love you mo!
